Who do you think we should sell and who should we buy this summer window?
I think we should sell Marc Wilson, Charlie Adam and Mame Diouf they do not fit in with the new style of play. We should look for a replacement for Crouch who will most likely leave at the end of his contract. We should also look for some defensive strengthening, altough Johnson and Bardsley have impressed at the RB spot they are also getting older and so we need to look for new RBs.
Our midfield is solid, and any new midfiled-players would be a surprise unless Arnautovic leaves, if he does i personaly would like Alex Witsel from Zenit or Sofiane Feghouli from Valencia. I would also like to see academy players like Shenton, Moha and Telford get more game time for the 1st team. What do you guys think?
I definitely agree we have some deadwood around. Marc Wilson, Adam, Crouch I think will all leave in the Summer.
We need to strengthen at the back and up top. For me a central defender and out and out striker is essential. Then I would like to challenge our more established spots with young talent.
I personally think we need improvements for both full backs (Johnson might be ok for another season but Bardsley is a liability) if we can Erikin I will be very impressed, obviously we need a prolific goal scorer as well as back up winger regardless of if Arnie goes I would like to see one of the academy lads fill this role (Moha possibly) but if Arnie does leave we need a first team winger as well. Also another central defender is needed if I’m being honest I wouldn’t mind seeing Caulker coming in to deputize for Ryan.
It’s obvious but we need defensive cover for key players like Ryan. Someone with premier league experience who can easily just slot in and make it look like there’s not much different. Someone that got pointed out to me who out of contract in the summer is Daniel Agger, a man with experience and quality at the back which he showed at Liverpool. I also agree with Smithy about Caulker, who now has enough experience and would work quite well as understudy.
We also need backup/replacement for Glenn, who at the end of next season will be 33. Witsel would be fantastic and work work very well with Imbula in the middle of the park. If not, we could look into maybe someone like Shelvey as a cheaper option. And obviously the academy is there, with players like Shenton and Lecygne coming through at CM.
Finally we need a top drawer striker, which is easier said than done. Ideally someone like Loic Remy would be a fantastic signing for our style of play. Although we could turn to Liverpool for a different option as they are looking to offload both Christian Benteke and Mario Ballotelli in the summer. But who knows what will happen

Think we need a striker with goals, really like the look of Zaza (especially while he was at Sassulo)
New CB essential as Muni appears inconsistent there, like the idea of Caulker, but think we need one with a bit more pace so think Barta is perfect but obviously unlikely
Back up winger really important and seeing Hughes’ good work with troubled players would quite like to see Grealish
Also should Newcastle go down Janmaat would be a dream due to our aging right backsI rate Vincent Janssen, think he’d be superb.
Not sure we can really attract Sergi Roberto. Top player and is getting played in big Barca games.
Them lists are full of rubbish.
Agree a few need to go but look at muni to replace whelan. Comfy on the ball can make a good pass and tackle and no way witsel would come to us! Zara would be great to replace Mame and crouchy. Need centre back and full back cover for both sides and a keeper! Shay obviously is 3rd choice and Haugaard is nowhere near the number 2 anyone thought he was. Get Shay out and Haugaard 3rd choice with number 2 coming in from somewhere. Look at someone like Heaton at burnley if Everton don’t get him.Last night I was at the Sevilla vs Bilbo Europa game and found myself keeping a close eye on old stoke Steven N’zonzi who we later ran into at a fair. It got me thinking, would you have him back should we get the chance? Are you happier with his replacement and the current midfield partnerships? Is there anyone else in particular you would bring in in that position?
I know a lot of stories wouldn’t want him back but I think Imbula and Zonz would be a class partnership. We do need someone to cover and eventually replace Whelan in my opinion.
As I said before I think Muni would do a job there but it’d be great to sign someone already in the whelan mould.
Tiote maybe but not sure on his age. We were linked with Jedinak a few seasons ago but now I think he’s past it. Not sure who else could fill that place though I’m sure Lesley has someone in mind!
