Player Ratings – Bournemouth

Jack Butland – 5

Faced three shots, two conceded and one saved. Kicking let him down a few times.

Glenn Johnson – 5

Made good progress going forward at times but always looked weak defensively, realistically he’s finished.

Kurt Zouma – 6

Looked low on confidence, put his strength to good use but far from his best.

Ryan Shawcross – 4

Nice to see him on the team sheet again but let himself down with the pathetic challenge that gave away a penalty, missed a decent chance to make up for his earlier mistake.

Geoff Cameron – 6

Defensively sloppy at times but looked good enough on the ball, always went forward and tried to start something.

Erik Pieters – 6.5

Not as bad as he has been suspect to be, was caught out defensively at times but did make good progress and even put in some decent deliveries, one leading to a goal and the other should have been another but Moting’s header was off target.

Darren Fletcher – 5

Far from his best in the first half, careless on the ball but did improve in the second half.

Joe Allen – 6

Covered a lot of ground and tried to make things happen, one of our best players on the pitch on the actual day.

Maxim Choupo Moting – 6

Should’ve finished from a good Pieters cross but did do well to get the assist for our goal.

Mame Diouf – 6.5

Good finished with his thigh and put all the effort in, had a chance saved by Begovic which could’ve easily went in.

Jese – 7

Most lively player on the pitch, went forward well and always looked dangerous. 100% should have won a penalty.

Peter Crouch – 5

No real chances to score but did well with his flick ons and knock downs which was went he was sent on to do.

Saido Berahino – N/A

One shot off target, nothing else in his fifteen minutes on the pitch.
