Player Ratings : Hull City
WE WON! Let’s rate….
Lee Grant – 7
Made two good stand out saves, nearly ended up having a brawl with Pieters due to some silly miscommunication that could’ve cost us big time, couldn’t do much with Hull’s goal due to the deflection.
Ryan Shawcross – 7
Nearly got himself a cheeky assist after a ball into Berahino who finished but went just a few seconds early. Solid enough at the back too.
Bruno Martins Indi – 8
Outstanding display once again from Bruno, defensively solid and dealt with anything and evreything Hull had to offer. For me, there is no question that he is indeed our player of the season.
Marc Muniesa – 7
Defensively solid like his fellow teammates at the back, also provided a good showing in a holding midfielder role later in the second half.
Glen Johnson – 6.5
Great going forward down the right and playing a couple balls that created some good goal scoring opportunities. Although defensively could do better.
Charlie Adam – 4
When was the last time he lasted a full game? Absolute disgrace how he even gets a game over Imbula. Takes a ridiculous amount of time on the ball and didn’t help the defence nor attack out. Probably our most consistent performer this season, consistently horrific.
Geoff Cameron – 8
Another one who had a quality game today, provided protection when it was required. As for his passing, still not the best although I have noticed an improvement.
Erik Pieters – 3
Pathetic display. Can’t clear a ball or communicate with his teammates. Not to mention the stupid corner he gave away the obviously lead to Hull’s goal. We need a new left back!
Xherdan Shaqiri – 9
Lovely ball to Arnie who made no mistake with finishing, created multiple chances that unfortunately did not get taking advantage of, caused Hull numerous problems and an unbelievable strike with our goal of the season.
Sadio Berahino – 5
Had the ball in net but unfortunately it was correctly pulled up for being offside, had an decent opportunity eight yards out that he put wide. Didn’t cause many issues for Hull to deal with.
Marko Arnautovic – 8
A beautiful finish for the first, could’ve and should’ve had another and arguably even another two. A superb ball to Walters who went on to set up Crouch for the second. Caused Hull numerous issues but should’ve scored more.
Peter Crouch – 7
Should’ve scored after a Walters header was saved and fell into his path. Took his header really well. Was obviously a threat but there’s nothing else worth mentioning from the goal.
Jon Walters – 8
Beautiful touch then a quality ball in the box for Crouch to finish, had a chance himself but hit the bar, realistically should’ve scored given the time and space he had. Changed the game when coming on.
Mame Diouf – N/A
Was on for about five minutes. No rating for Mame.
Overall, a good display from evreyone involved excluding a certain Dutchman and Scotsman. Make sure you let us know what you agree and disagree with!
